Cells at Work! (Anime Review)

Cells at Work! was released on July 7, 2018. It's a comedic anime that takes place within the human body and gives many facts about how each cell works in keeping the human body safe and healthy. While some of the episodes also focuses on the other type of cells, the two main characters are a clumsy, female red blood cell and a serious male white blood cell.
Before the anime was even released, many people were already making fun of it due to the popular 2002 show Ozzy and Drix. The reason behind this was the fact that both take place inside the human body and put as many biological facts as possible in each episode. While, I do agree that there are many similarities between both of these, they way they portray the cells, are completely different; especially since Cells at Work! is more comedic where as Ozzy and Drix was more dramatic in their episodes.
Now, there are some downsides to this anime, but it doesn't really over power the cuteness and how well-made it is. The downside to this anime is how they stop to introduce each cell in all of the episodes. At first, it's fine since you don't know any of them, but then it gets to the point where it's really tiring to hear some of the same introductions going through each episode repeatively; or, sometimes, they would stop the episode for more than 3-4 times just to give facts about certain cells or bacteria.
All though the countless (and sometimes repetitive) biological facts are tiring, the anime is very well-made. It's really fun to watch. If you want to have fun while learning a couple of biological facts, I highly recommend this anime. It is also still on-going by the time I post this review. I give Cells at Work! four paws out of five due to how cute and funny it is and how creative the writers were when making each of the episodes. Anyways, that's all for Cells At Work. I hope you all enjoyed this review, I really did enjoy watching the anime. Until the next article, keep your paws and bowls of ramen up, everyone. Nya! 🐾🐾🐾🐾

Here U Are -Manhua Review

"Here U Are" is a yaoi manhua/webcomic that was released on November of 2017 and then translated in English in May of this year (2018). Being also within the genre of "Slice of Life", this manhua/webcomic takes place in a university in China. The two main characters are LiHuan and  YuYang. YuYang is an openly gay sophomore whereas LiHuan is a mysterious freshman who is still in grief from the death of his mother. The webcomic/manhua is still ongoing so I can't really get into too many details except that this is really dramatic from the start.
When I started to read this, I was cringing a bit because of YuYang's narration in the beginning. It was really weird because he calls himself "daddy" from chapter one which kinda irks me, to be honest. It really did remind me of stories that I used to read on Wattpad back when I was about 13. The way the author also portrayed the two main characters was also a bit bland for me, but since I wanted to give it a chance, I kept on reading. Further on, you do start to feel some sympathy for the characters due to the fact that the author shows a bit of their background one chapter at a time. The art style is pretty and the colors go very well with the atmosphere that the author is trying to portray throughout the story so far.
So, keeping everything I mentioned in mind, I give "Here U Are" a good 3 pairs of paws nya. I hope that the story keeps building up even more and gains more attention.  I went to check if the author (D.Jun ) does have anymore manhua/webcomics done, and he indeed does. So I hope you also read his other works as well as this one. Until the next article, keep your paws and bowls of ramen up, everyone. Nya! 🐾🐾🐾

My first ever Asian Drama?

Everyone has this one drama that started this black hole of addiction to Asian dramas as a whole. For the most part, it's a classic Korean drama like "Boys Over Flowers", "Dream High", "Coffee Prince" among others. However, that wasn't the case for me. I was a huge fan of anime (still am). So I was ecstatic when I found a Japanese drama. And that drama was? Drum roll, please.
My first ever Asian drama was "Hana Yori Dango". Now, before you all go "why wasn't it Boys Over Flowers?" remember, I just happened to find it in the recommended section on YouTube (yes, I was one of THOSE people on YouTube). Afterwards, I started to find other Japanese dramas such as "Hana Kimi", "Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge" (Perfect Girl Evolution/ The wallflower which is a live action adaption to one of my favorite anime), and "Koizora".
Fast forward to about a year or two and they're starting to broadcast K-Dramas here in Puerto Rico. Of course, one of them was- in fact- Boys Over Flowers. To be honest, I wasn't too excited with Boys Over Flowers since I more or less knew the story because of Hana Yori Dango. It was still interesting to see the culture differences in detail that they have. Now, with the new Chinese adaption of "Meteor Garden", I'm not exactly excited since it's the same story and I already know how it more or less ends, but I am curious as to what sort of changes this version has.

I've never seen a drama in Mandarin until my second year of college. That first drama being Bromance. Now, I didn't really have a reason to watch Mandarin dramas back then, especially since k-drama and j-dramas were what filled my recommended lists of dramas to watch. After watching Bromance, of course, that changed completely. I became completely obsessed with them as much as I am with the others.
So yeah, that basically explains my journey to my obsession with asian dramas. Thank you all once again for reading my content. Until the next article, keep your paws and bowls of ramen up, everyone. Nya!  🐾

A.I.C.O. Vs Shi Xiong/I am Bai Xiaofei (Japanese Vs Chinese Anime Comparison)

"Zombie brother" (Shi Xiong) is a Chinese anime from November of 2014 and ended in March of 2015. Then it came with a second season with a different title "I am Bai Xiaofei which lasted from April of 2015 and ended in March of 2016. Each episode being five to eleven minutes long. This takes place in an apocalyptic world which is very similiar to the popular series "The Walking Dead". The protagonist, Bai Xiaofei, takes a body enhancer that he finds online in order to survive the zombie apocalypse. This, of course, brings many consequences.

After the first episode of "Zombie Brother", the animation quality changed drastically. The characters and setting are a lot less sketchy than in the first episode. Fast forward to the second season: "I am Bai Xiaofei", the animation becomes more high quality along with the voice acting. This anime is definitely not for kids nor for the faint of heart so if you're not into slight gore or very graphic comedic scenes, I wouldn't recommend you watching this anime.
Now onto A.I.C.O -Incarnation- , this anime is a Netflix series which was released in March of 2018. This anime takes place in 2035 when an operation goes completely wrong resulting in an incident called "The Burst". The protagonist -Aiko Tachibana- finds out that in order to end "The burst" and save her mom and brother, she has to give her mind to her "other body".
This anime, unlike Zombie Brother, is more dramatic- serious even. Each episode is about 23 minutes long and the animation is a lot darker rather than in Zombie Brother, the animation has an assortment of brighter tones. A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- also has a more linear plot than Zombie Brother does so you don't go "what the heck is going on?" every second of the way.
What these two do have in common is the apocalyptic setting that these two take place. They also keep you on the edge of your seat with how the plot unravels. Both also show have the topic of having humanoid organisms (no, I'm not exactly counting the full on zombies- but some of the main characters). However, the character development for the male protagonist was really slow and can mostly be seen in the last two or three episodes.
Anyways, both of these anime are really well-made. I love both the plot and the characters. If you want to watch an anime in an apocalyptic setting, I highly recommend them. But since this is a comparing article rather than a review, I'm not going to give a rating on either of them. But anyways, until the next article, keep your paws and bowls of ramen up everyone. Busted! Series Review

Busted is a Korean variety show on Netflix which aired in May 2018 and ended in June, 2018. The main cast consists of  Yoo Jae-Suk (Running Man), Ahn Jae-Wook (actor), Kim Jong-Min (2 Days &1 Night), Lee Kwang- Soo (Running Man), Park Min-Young (actress), Ooh Sehun (Exo), and Kim Se-Jeong (Gugudan). The show is about 7 detective solving mysteries with a series of puzzles along the way. Each member shows a certain degree of their own intelligence or luck in every puzzle thrown in their own way.
When I saw the teaser and the trailer for the show, for a tiny second, I thought the show was going to be very serious among other things, but then my opinion changed drastically when I saw the upcoming scenes within the show along with the fact that two of the members from Running Man was going to be involved. The show is very entertaining because it somehow manages to balance both suspense and comedy. There is a lot of acting due to the amount of actors/entertainers that are involved with each episode; however, there is also a lot of improv since the members have to solve the puzzles in their own way while also having to go through a lot of twists and turns within them. The way that they act with each other so naturally is also a major asset with the show itself.

That being said, I wish there were more recurring characters since some of the episodes don't really give off a sense of closure except for the last episode which is understandable since they're giving out the hint that there might be a second season. Also, some of the episodes are hard to grasp what's really happening since there's so many twists and turns and it doesn't really give you a lot of time to take it all in. It just feels like a giant pill that you have to take it all in at once instead of actually getting to see and even try to participate in solving the mysteries with the cast.
Overall, I give the show four pairs of paws out of five due to how entertaining each moment of the show is along with how well the cast bonds naturally with each other. The only downsides are that it sometimes give you too much to take in at once- making you feel as if you're being left out in trying to participate in solving the crime with them.  Anyways, this concludes this review so until the next article, keep your paws and bowls of ramen up everyone! Toxic Fans in the K-Pop Community

One thing that sucks about the K-Pop community are the countless toxic "fans" within it. Now, there's always going to be people like this in any kind of fandom, but since K-Pop is becoming the community that is covering the globe, it's kinda hard to ignore them.
One example of this being BTS Army. When BTS was nominated for "Best Social Artist" at the Billboards, many fans decided to insult the fandoms of the other nominees-mainly the Beliebers. There's also that time when a Taylor Swift fan decided to insult the fandom by calling them "Sushi-stans" which lead to them being bombared with immature comments from BTS Army.
Another example including BTS Army is the never-ending fight between Army and EXO-L. The fandom between the two is always arguing about whether one group is better than the other. This leads to various hate comments between the two which is ironic since both groups are known to be very good friends.

Now, onto more recent matters. Very recently, it's been confirmed that E'Dawn from Pentagon and HyunA are dating. The same day,two more dating rumors came into light which lead many fans into leaving negative comments such as "I was getting super into Pentagon lately but I'm so disappointed now"(Information from allkpop).
This really bugs me since people as toxic as this have such a negative effect on those we look up to in the community. It's gotten to the point where it makes the idols question their worth and it's they're really good enough in the music and entertainment industry as a whole. People tend to forget that idols are humans too which is really sad. Jonghyun Kim from SHINee commited suicide almost a year ago because of depression, pressure of fame but also because he felt like he wasn't good enough. Sadly, the one time that all the fandoms forgot about their negativity with one another was when he commited suicide.  How much more is it going to take for those people in the community to finally see the weight their words and actions take on those they "love"-those they "look up to"?

I know, this isn't something I usually write, but I just needed to get it off my chest after so much that has happened for the past year or so. Anyways...I'll see you guys in the next article. Until then, keep your paws and bowls of ramen up everyone. Nya.  🐾

Hot Girl- Drama Review

Hot Girl was released on August 10, 2016 and ended in September 4, 2016 with a total of 37 episodes. This drama is about how a girl Guan Xiao Di and her friends train to be a part of a major body guard association. It's action-packed and has many sad moments, however, that doesn't mean that it doesn't have its comedic parts as well.

The drama is filled with character develop since they don't just focus on Guan Xiao Di all the time. This, along with many twists and turns, has the drama making you want for more. However, there are many downsides to this. One of them being the actual protagonist- Guan Xiao Di herself. She's too stubborn to a fault and never really shows any sign of significant change throughout the drama. It's really frustrating.

The drama is very straightforward and I loved every minute of watching it. The only complaints I have are the protagonist and the ending which is kind of a let down after all the excitement that went down. So, with that, I give the drama 3 pairs of paws out of five. If you want to watch it, go check it out and I hope that you enjoy it. Until then, keep your paws and ramen bowls up everyone! Nya! 🐾🐾🐾
