On April 17, 2017, a Chinese drama by the name of “Fighter of the Destiny” was released. With such huge names in the entertainment industry such as Lu Han, Janice Wu along with Joseph Zeng, the show has been a major hit not just in China, but around the world. Based on the novel of the same name by Mao Ni, the show is about a 19 year old Taoist boy who travels to a major city in hopes of changing his fate with an incurable disease. Along the way, he finds a woman whom he had fallen in love with since they were children. Filled with many laughs and tears, this series is captivating in every way possible.
In my opinion, the story was interesting since it gives you a view on things not only in Chen Changsheng’s (main character) point of view, but in everyone else’s as well. It also gives you a chance to fall in love or hate every single one of them in such a short amount of time. It is enough to send you into a roller coaster of emotions. The special effects in this drama are outstanding. However, there were things that I didn’t exactly like throughout the series was that in some cases, you had to wait for a single detail to happen and the ending wasn’t exactly satisfying since there were still so many events that haven’t quite happened yet (though there are supposedly 4 more episodes left to be shown, the main story has already ended).
Long story short, I give this drama 4 pairs of paws out of five. 🐾🐾🐾🐾
