Korean Festival- "Callejando por Seoul IV"

Last week I went to a Korean culture festival, and it was amazing to put it simply. I had a blast, the food was great, all of the performances were amazing and everyone was simply having the time of their lives while meeting up with people who also have an interest and love in the culture.

The room was really spacey, however it didn’t really feel that way since so many people attended the festival, the room seemed smaller than it actually was. There was almost no room to just sit down or even walk. There were even cosplayers who dressed up as their favorite K-pop idol. However, their makeup was slowly melting because of how hot the room was. Nonetheless, everything was a blast to summarize it.

There were also many performances, most of it (about 75%-80%) was on the talent show. First off was a Tae-Kwon-Do group that had many students and teachers showing their love for the martial arts. They were also encouraging everyone in the audience to try martial arts since it is not a sport, but a way of life. I was captivated by the talent that each of the teachers and students had when showing us this type of martial art.

Next was the talent show. Now, I’m only going to put one or two pictures since there were many people who participated in it (also because my phone was dying by trying to record so many talented people). The dances were spectacular and the singers were simply phenomenal.

As people were leaving, everyone got off of their chairs and danced to every song that came up. Everyone, though tired and sweaty, was giving it their all while dancing to the music (myself included). Needles to say that the teachers who organized this event did an excellent job.

So if you have the chance of going to a culture festival like this one, I highly recommend you do since it’s an amazing experience. The people who go there are really nice and you find out more about the world in a tiny little space. The food is also a plus. If you do go to a festival, I hope you have fun and meet some really great people there!
